The National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) for primary health is a sub-mission of
National Health Mission (NHM) approved in may 2013.

Aim is planning, implementing programme to provide access to primary health for
urban poor especially slum dwellers, vendors, rickshaw pullers and homeless
people.

Implemented by the Ministries of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty
Alleviation, Human Resource Development and Women & Child Development.
4)
NUHM would cover all State capitals, district headquarters and cities/towns
with a population of more than 50000.
5)
Focus on partnership with community ,local bodies and NGOs for smooth provision
of health services.
6)
The centre-state funding ratio is proposed to be 75:25 for all the States while
