Kerala PSC to change exam format, how to prepare?

So, you heard the news -- PSC exams can't be cracked by mugging up guides ... this change will be implemented soon, most probably in a couple of years. This means, a very different paradigm, a new world! What will stand out in this change will be the need to develop your analytical skills and your writing skills.
How are you planning to go about this?
Before that: have you  thought about the opportunity that will come up for a person like  you,  who likes to reach success on merit and not through shortcuts? Your competition has been blown away, effectively cutting down them to 10% of the earlier numbers. How can we say this? This is because, for ages the mindset of PSC aspirants are being set in a set manner, and the whole system who churns out rank holders  through a systematic 'mugging up credentials', will be forced to reinvent and redeploy.  And, it will many years for them to achieve  that flow again.   Thus, for an individual who can change fast  or who is going to start his or her preparation, this is a great opportunity.
Developing your analytical ability and writing skills will be a prerequisite for success in coming years. For both, you can rely on that exam strategies followed by UPSC and MBA aspirants.
Analytical ability can be tested using questions in Data interpretation, logical, Reading comprehension and Maths.

Writing your answers well will be hard work. To write, you  have to start reading a lot. The gift language is not easily acquired and once in, it  will not leave you. So, start reading: for a fresh start, you may read any of the detective novels like Sherlock Holmes. It is important to start the process, once you get into a groove, try Shantaram ... read as varied as you can.

Start your preparation right away; change is around the corner, and success  beckons you.
